It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of TankSpace Studio.

 

This is not a decision we ever wanted to make. Over the past year we have done everything possible to keep the studio operating, including investing significant amounts of our own money and working far beyond what was sustainable. Unfortunately, a combination of rising operating costs, substantial increases to the business overheads, and a difficult trading period has left the business in a position where it can no longer continue.

 

For the past six years TankSpace has been far more than just a studio to us. It has been our passion, our livelihood, and a space that allowed thousands of creative people to bring their ideas to life. We have been privileged to work with everyone from first-time photographers to international brands, and we are incredibly proud of what was built here.

 

Most of all, we want to thank our customers. The support, enthusiasm, creativity, and trust you've shown us over the years has meant more than we can ever adequately express. The community that formed around TankSpace has been genuinely special, and saying goodbye to it is difficult to say the least.

 

We understand that many of you will have questions, particularly those with existing bookings or outstanding work, so we wanted to provide an update on what happens next.

 

Outstanding edits and image orders

 

Any outstanding edits and image orders will still be completed. As the business is no longer trading, all remaining editing work will be completed by us personally in our own time. This means turnaround times will be longer than usual as we balance outstanding orders alongside winding down the business and finding new work.

 

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we do our very best to honour every outstanding order.

 

Existing bookings and deposits

 

The company is now entering a formal insolvency process. We have maintained records of all bookings, payments, and deposits received, and these will be provided to the appointed insolvency practitioners.

 

We appreciate this will be upsetting news for anyone with a future booking. Please know that we have not taken this decision lightly, nor is this an outcome we wanted for our customers. We are currently exploring whether any bookings may be able to be accommodated by another studio and will share any information we receive as soon as possible.

 

We know many of you will feel disappointed, frustrated, or angry, and we completely understand those feelings. Please remember that this closure represents the loss of something we have put our blood, sweat and tears into for six years. 

 

We have exhausted every avenue we could find to keep TankSpace alive before reaching this point and as a team we are devastated to be losing something we have all poured our hearts and years into.

 

TankSpace was never just a studio. It was built by the people who walked through its doors, brought their ideas to life, and allowed us to help make them happen. We are incredibly proud of everything that was created here and grateful to every single person who played a part in its story.
